- •250g pork loin steak
- •1 rasher bacon
- •1 teaspoon stewed apples (pre-made unsweetened apple pie filling or apple sauce)
- •20g fresh apple
- •½ teaspoon cinnamon sugar
- 1.Wrap one rasher of bacon around the pork loin, using a toothpick to hold securely.
- 2.Place one tablespoon of stewed apple on top of the steak and spread evenly. Slice the fresh apple thinly and fan it over the top of the stewed apple. Sprinkle lightly with the cinnamon sugar.
Unsweetened apple pie filling can be found in the canned fruit aisle in the supermarket. Alternatively, make your own stewed apple; place 250g sliced apple, 25g caster sugar & ½ tablespoons water in a pan. Bring to the boil, place a lid on the pan and cook for 4 mins. Stir & cook for a few more minutes until the apples are broken down but there are still visible chunks. Taste to check sweetness and add more sugar if required. This mixture will keep for up to a week refrigerated.
