Ingredients

  • Pork rump or striploin 200g
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar

Method

  1. 1.
    Place soy sauce, mirin, garlic and brown sugar in a small saucepan over a medium-high heat. Bring to the boil. Then reduce to medium heat and simmer for 2 minutes or until sauce has reduced and thickened slightly. Allow to cool completely.

    Coat rump with yakitori sauce, garnish with sliced onion and/or carrot.

Cooking Instructions


Grill on a medium-high heat, 3-4 minutes on each side. Allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.
