Ingredients

  • 3kg pork pieces/trims
  • 1 litre smokey BBQ sauce
  • 1 litre water
  • 250g plain flour
  • 40 savoury pie shells with lids

Method

  1. 1.
    Add pork trims and a litre of BBQ sauce in a slow cooker. Cook for 4 hours.
  2. 2.
    Remove cooked pork and place in a tray. Begin to shred the pork with a fork. Return pork to sauce.
  3. 3.
    Mix a litre of water and flour into a smooth blend and add to pot.
  4. 4.
    Cook for 10 minutes further or until it bubbles or boils.
  5. 5.
    Place in freezer and let them cool.
  6. 6.
    Spoon into pie shells, weigh 205g each. Place the pies on tray and freeze. Cut pie top into strips and top the pies, wrap and return to freezer.

General Information

Customer cooking instructions:

Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
